Politics -

About McCain - If ever anyone in the last 7 generations of my family were around and knew i was thinking more about voting Republican than democrat they would try and kill me!

When you look in depth, Clinton always voted the same as bush and represents the same thing bush did. Her husband was not the greatest thing that ever walked the earth. he did as much good as bad for the states and he opened the door to Bush to do all kinds of bad shit the french don't know about. The two are steeped in corruption past their eyeballs. I'm not talking about blowjobs either!

Obama will never get anything done with just his charm and the majority of conservative voters will vote Clinton because of his experience. Blacks are only 13% and mostly poor and uninformed, 1/3 of them won't be able to vote where they can make a difference. Clinton will have the big states that stand to lose in the long run with Obama. The fact he has an arab middle name will work with the educated and anti war masses but he isn't using it. Why? How come no one french has asked? I'll tell you why. most americans are racist and macho -- especially the blacks and the women. Country women for the most part don't give a shit about politics and are so fed up at voting time they vote against their interests and can't sort out any good reasons to vote if they do so. 99% blacks blame the whites for their poverty. and 99% of blacks are poor or middle class.

At the same time the Republican party except Bush and his neocons (old order) is now firmly behind McCain, who is moderate no matter what his current push to win over the whole party is. He was a prisoner in Vietnam and understands about human suffering. He is our best chance since carter for worldwide and american economic prosperity at the same time as the best security against having to press the button. And I'm much more to the left than any american you will most likely ever meet. The republican power base since the Reagan era is based on religion and corporate conservativism. That coalition will have to back McCain to insure it's government revenues or tax reductions. But McCain has a human side which will appeal to others as well. He'll win easier than bush did the last two times. And Everyone democrat that doesn't want a black or woman president frustrated once again by loack of a good choice won't vote.

I've only heard two people on french television in ten years that understand american politics. There are way too many cultural gaps and differences. I love explaining to the french, i feel like it's the only time they give me any credit or listen to me. I shouldn't generalize but it's true for my experience here on the whole. There are a few exceptions - Carole, etc...

Just my informed 27 years of american experience talking. Tell me if i'm a match for PPDA or if i sound too much like Le Pen?
